Wild Grief

Wild Grief is an opportunity to grieve together in community, the community of fellow humans while engaging with the community of our more than human relations in outdoor, nature and wild spaces.

Wild Grief Gainesville is a local partnership between mental health therapists and other community healers in Gainesville to provide a space for people to grieve in relationship with nature.  Wild Grief will happen once a month and will be structured as a 45 minute guided walk and then an opportunity to share in a circle what is present for us in our grief.

Anyone is welcome and the event will be donation based.  This event is an offering to the community of Gainesville and outlying areas to acknowledge and even embrace grief as an important and natural part of life.  We share the awareness that grief can be for loss of life, loss of relationships, parts of ourselves, life changes, and many more losses than can possibly be named.  All grief is welcome and all people in all their various identities are welcomed.

There is also an opportunity in Wild Grief Gainesville to engage in the healing relationships with the land and more than human relations that dwell with us. We acknowledge the ancestral lineage of the Timucuan, Potano and Seminole peoples and hope that our practice will honor them.

Some meetings will be for general grief and some will be for specific types of grief such as ancestral, eco/climate, etc.
