Who We Are
Hey, thanks for stopping by. I’m Rowan. I grew up and have spent most of my life in the SE USA. Now living in FL. Some identities I carry that orient my work and provide lived experience: white, middle class, assigned female, non-binary, neuroqueer, neurocomplex gifted, spiritual, living with some chronic illness that can be disabling, housed, married.
I have spent my career companioning others to cultivate self-compassion, reclaim their stories and to become self-allies. I have a radical relationship with truth and aim to provide a safe space for authenticity to emerge.
I strive to illuminate the individual as being alive in community, breathing in relationship and reorienting and aligning to the emergent and creative reality of being part of the universe. I hope to support liberation through the reclamation of relationships disrupted by the colonization process and support myself and others to reground in relationships that were life giving to ancestors. I orient myself currently with the active support of ancestry, spiritual guides and being held by the lands of the Timucua and Seminole peoples.
I acknowledge the historical and ongoing colonization taking place on Turtle Island, presently referred to as the United States. I am a settler colonist on lands where indigenous people face significant violence and some communities were completely killed, forced to join other communities in fleeing south or forced to relocate to other parts of the country. For lack of better names, I want to acknowledge that I reside and work on the lands of the Timucuan, Potano and Seminole peoples.
I hope that my work supports myself and others to honor the indigenous ancestors of this land. A portion of profits will be donated yearly to indigenous justice organizations who are actively working to fight ongoing colonization and exploitation of their communities and to support the preservation of their vibrant communities, knowledge, lands and lifeways.
Additionally, I cannot express how grateful I am for what I have learned from indigenous teachers and will continue to support them through purchase of training materials and offered talks and trainings.

Therapy is focused on targeting or eliminating emotions or behaviors that are limiting your ability to function in life. Often, you would experience a level of distress where you would meet criteria for a particular diagnosis. Symptoms are persistent and have a big impact. Treatment is medically necessary to treat a diagnosis. Coaching is more focused on personal growth where there is not a significant impairment in your functioning or as a supplement to your therapy if you are already engaged in therapy.

I would love to be independently wealthy or have a benefactor. Unfortunately, I do not. The services I offer are labor, and I don’t believe that anyone should be expected to offer their labor for free. Additionally fields that are undervalued in the capitalist model and more seen as “women’s roles” are assumed that should also be offered for free. From a social justice perspective, I fundamentally disagree with that assumption. When I am paid a living wage, I can support myself and my community in addition to be able to offer flexibility in costs.

Although I could use my mental health background to claim some expertise is this area, I see it as more of an additional experience you will have from working with me. I will orient these sessions as a peer, fellow seeker who has tools, experience, skills, qualities and a willingness to show up and support others in my community. All my offerings come from a place of…I wish I could have had this support from someone with this or a space offering that. I want to create the support that I wished I had on my journey so far.
